Jonny Lee Miller is Elementary's New Sherlock

Wouldn't it be awesome if there was a show about the classic stories about Sherlock Holmes taking place in our modern times? Oh, right, I forgot there already is a show about a modern Sherlock. And it's great! So...CBS, why would you make just another one based on the same premise?

CBS' new show Elementary indeed goes for just the same thing as Sherlock and wants to bring the classic stories by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle into today's times (probably set in the U.S., though), and they signed Dexter and Trainspotting baddie Jonny Lee Miller for the leading role as the next Sherlock Holmes.

I'm not a big fan of Miller (probably because he tends to play unlikeable characters) and I loathe the idea of CBS copying BBC's established and highly acclaimed premise. The internet seems to think the same for now, and I wonder if they will actually deliver something unique or just blatantly rip off Mark Gatiss' and Steven Moffat's series. What do you expect?
